The Phone Book can seem like an easy source of prospects to call but really it is the devil in disguise for this purpose! It’s not targeted, it’s not tps checked, it doesn’t have contact names or up to date information. If you are after free or low cost data sources consider the following:

I don’t usually advocate the “numbers game” in telemarketing campaigns as usually it is a lazy method that relies of low levels of success through probability. However, in some cases the “numbers game” can be a good approach.
